Planning for College
Feeling overwhelmed as college draws near?
Sometimes you just need a push in the right direction. We'll walk you through the college prep and admissions process and will explain financial aid options as well.
Parents ... preparing for college can be stressful for you, too! Do as much planning as possible during your student's junior year to alleviate some of the stress. Also, prepare for some significant expenses during the senior year including:
- ACT/SAT registration costs
- Senior pictures
- Campus visits (depending on location, could include expenses for transportation, meals and hotel)
- College application fees (contact the colleges for fee information)
- Housing and tuition deposits
- Graduation expenses (cap and gown, announcements, party, gifts)
- College orientation fees
- Residence hall essentials
