Fifteen Nebraskans Receive EducationQuest Scholarships
(LINCOLN, Nebraska, August 15, 2008) – EducationQuest Foundation has awarded over $63,000 in renewable Reaching Your Potential scholarships to 15 Nebraskans who have overcome obstacles to attend college.
The recipients, and the colleges they are attending, are:

Michelle Cramer from Gering, Western Nebraska Community College
Andrew Dale from Omaha, University of Nebraska at Omaha
Katie Durfee from Fairbury, Doane College
Jamie Ellis from Minden, University of Nebraska at Kearney
Mawut El-Awel from Omaha, University of Nebraska at Omaha
Tyler Lee from Omaha, Dana College
DaeJanira Lyncook from Omaha, University of Nebraska at Omaha
Abdul Mir from Omaha, University of Nebraska at Omaha
Khushbu Patel from Omaha, University of Nebraska at Omaha
Denise Rice from Kearney, University of Nebraska at Kearney
Zenab Rehman from Hastings, Central Community College
Wesley Schrier from Columbus, University of Nebraska at Kearney
Shantel Thompson from Omaha, University of Nebraska at Omaha
Terry Van Hoosear from Scottsbluff, Western Nebraska Community College
"These students have overcome tremendous obstacles to improve their lives, and the lives of others, through higher education," said EducationQuest President Liz Fieselman. "We're pleased to help them achieve their goals."
EducationQuest is a private nonprofit organization with a mission to improve access to higher education in Nebraska. Since 2000, EducationQuest has disbursed over $1.5 million in renewable Reaching Your Potential scholarships to 192 Nebraskans. Applicants are referred to the program by Nebraska colleges and community agencies.
